INTRODUCTION

Inspired by PERMATA Negara programme, it is an Early Childhood Guide and Education (Program Asuhan and Didikan Awal) that offers alternative approach in the early childhood guide and education specially for children under age 4 years old to appreciate unity values, living socially as well as preparing for the formal schooling in the future.

OBJECTIVES

  • To instill and nurture the goodwill spirit, neighbourhood and unity among children.
  • To respect and utilize the Malay language as the main language and English as the second language.
  • To practice religious/moral values in daily life.
  • To encourage children to practice moral values, spirituality and positive morals.
  • To strengthen the relationship and nurture unity among the parents and society.
  • To extend the concept of kendiri (unique self-image) toward building positive personality and characteristics.

CURRICULUM

As an education-based program, the implementation was begun by designing and developing a special curriculum for the PERMATA Negara Programme.The curriculum design and development was based on children development and focused on children’s holistic growth in several aspects which are cognitive skills, socio-emosional, communicative competence, and physical.

PERMATA curriculum is also based on the National Education Philosophy that emphasizes on five (5) main aspect in order to ensure holistic growth of the children:

  1. Interaction and active communication.
  2. Mind stimulation and literacy.
  3. Enriching the children.
  4. Freedom of learning.
  5. Observation of children’s skills and potentials.
  6. Learning through playing.

  1. Application for PERMATA Unity Kindergarten :-

    • Download Borang Permohonan PERMATA from the Download Menu on PERMATA website, or applying from the nearest PERMATA Perpaduan premise.
    • Fill in the form with accurate information.
    • Attach certified copies of the following documents:
      • MyKid,
      • Parents or Guidance’s MyKad,
      • Children’s Latest Health Report, and
      • Payslip or Financial Statement.
  1. If self-employed, a letter certifying the status of employment and earning, is required and must be certified as true by any civil servants from the Gred A Administrative Group and above (Gred 41 and above)/Penghulu Mukim/Ketua Kampung.
  2. Children will be immediately terminated from the program if his/her application was found to be misleading or fallacious.
 

Q: WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR THE PROGRAMME?

A: Applicants can download the application form from the PERMATA website or official blog, or at the nearest Pusat Anak PERMATA Negara.

Q: WHAT IS THE AGE QUALIFICATION TO ENROLL IN THE PROGRAMME?

A: Children of 1 - 4 years old are qualified to apply for the programme.

Q: IS THERE ANY FEE INVOLVED?

A: No fees. The programme is free of charge, as it is an effort to help low income families.

Q: WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO APPLY FOR THE POST OF EDUCATOR AT PERMATA NEGARA?

A: Starting from 2012, the intake of teachers or educators for PERMATA Negara was placed under the authority of the Ministry of Education and Education Service Commission. Any queries can be referred to the ministry.

Q: WHAT IS THE QUALIFYING CRITERIA OR REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILDREN TO JOIN THE PROGRAMME?

A:

  • Household income of RM2500 for the urban area, and RM1500 for the rural area.
  • Parents and children must be Malaysian citizen.
  • The distance from the applicant’s house to Pusat Anak PERMATA Negara must not be more than 10km.
  • Children must be healthy.
  • Only one child per one family is allowed to enroll into the program, except for twins.
  • If applicants submitted two (2) applications, priority will be given to the youngest one.
